“No, we wouldn’t want that.” Still having his eyes closed, he smiled. This was why he enjoyed her company- back home he lived a lie, fooled people all the time, with the minor exception of ‘the gang’ not including Hiei. Hiei was a demon, knew a little of kitsune ways, and their mischievous ways- Kuro was a kitsune. It wasn’t very often he could let loose and just kid around- he always had to present himself well as a human, or defend himself as a demon.
This was relaxation.
He was brought out of his train of thought by her reminding him of his “exterminator” comment the last time they’d spoken. He played anger for a moment before saying,” I doubt I’ll wear a uniform for the rest of my demon years, what with having to wear them for years as Shuichi.”
He frowned as she mentioned her being bored- her punishment. He had actually lessened her punishment, but it saddened him to know she was away from the people she cared for and helped. Maybe he could’ve done more…
Kurama ignored her question of his well being and looked over to her,” I’m sorry…” he then looked at the area of grass in front of them,” I had tried my best in persuading Koenma…” He stopped wondering why this had eaten him up for the past month. Was she really okay? Was it more than being bored? Did she know anyone in the Makai she could speak to, or did she go for days without speaking to anyone… The thought made him frown further.
He shook his head a bit, she was a dear friend, but he felt it was inappropriate to pry so much into her personal situation- it wasn’t his business. But, he still couldn’t help but wonder.
“Hm…Well how about some tea?” she said, being a bit more rhetorical about it. She stood up patting her skirt then lead the fox inside. As they entered the interior of her manor, she wandered into the kitchen by the entrance of her store. Kuro plucked out a kettle from a shelf and started preparing the tea while youko gazed over her recent collections from trades and such.

When she came into the store area of her manor, she set the tray on the counter and nearly paled when she saw the fox hold up a miniature figurine of himself. Dammit. She could have sworn she hid the damn thing….Shit.

“Long story short, you have a ex-dedicated fan who sold me that desperate for cash..” she mumbled, feeling oddly embarrassed by the picture before her. Nothing was weirder then to see youko holding a toy version of himself.

“I honestly wasn’t sure what to do at that time, so..” she shrugged, “Girl left with money and I ended up with that. Don’t ask how much she charged me please.” She brushed back some of her dark hair, unsure how the hell else she could explain herself. And why did she care enough to feel awkward anyway..?
