She turned her head. “Would you mind, er, putting me down..”
“Right. Sorry.” Placing her down with both care and haste, he took the opportunity to glance at their surroundings. Several dining options lined the streets of this part of Kyoto, and it was as though money was any obstacle.
Having gathered his composure, his gaze returned to his companion. “What are you in the mood for?”
Grateful that she was out of his arms and such an embarrassing position, she brushed some hair off her shoulder, trying to regain her composure.
“Um… how about some dango..?” she murmured, unsure of what else to say, and her nose caught the scent of it earlier. And it was pretty close. “We could eat that with some tea..” she added, gazing back at the oni with a weak smile.
