~A nightly rendezvous~ (SSL) -closed-

It was late, the moon already on it nigh as kuro entered the underground cafe. The lights inside were dimmed a bit, and the music played from either stage performers or otherwise was often nice and calming. This was her favorite places to get away from the world a bit. She made sure to dress herself properly for the place since today she had to sing. The manager was someone who knew her and often even requested her songs, so already as she entered some people would turn their heads to gaze at her. All of them already recognizing her for her previous performances. Which was fine by her, since the manager would often give her a tip whenever it was a full house.

Judging by the seats that were full and a few people leaning on the walls or by the bar, tonight would be a full house and a good pay day for her. She walked over to the bar, her rose-colored lips curving up into a knowing smile. “Madame’, if I may have a word with you~?” she cooed, her tone playful. The bar-tender and manager of the cafe turned around to look at her. Her name was Lisa, an older woman with brown hair normally tied back into a high-pony tail, much like today, and hazel-green eyes. She could also often be seen with a cigarrette in her mouth, but since she was too preoccupied with customers, it seems today she didn’t have one on her.

“My, if it isn’t the little princess~” She teased back, leaning on the counter to give kuro a light peck on her cheek. “I take it you got my text?”

“Mhm. Just say the word and I’ll hop on.” The older woman grinned at her, twirling her finger. “Gimme a spin. Don’t want you exciting the audience too much, sheri.”

Kuro laughed, twirling around slowly for the older woman to approve her outfit. She decided to wear leather pants today with some open-toed heels. The red tank-top she wore strapped around her neck, exposing only her upper back and shoulders. She kept her hair in a simple braid and added a rose-clip by her ear to match her top. “Is this appropriate?”

Lisa tapped the marble table lightly, eyeing her before chuckling. “It suits you, now get your cute little butt up there and knock ‘em dead for me.”

Kuro giggled, giving the older woman her purse to hide for a bit as she walked off. The men that worked there had already prepared the stage. Already, as she rose up the steps, she felt the eyes of so many on her, watching her. It was something that always excited her about performing. The feeling of everyone watching you, getting ready to blow them away with a spectacular performance.

She took in a deep breath before letting her nerves calm down. The music began to play and the lights dimmed, most of them focusing on her as she placed her hand over the mike. The words flowing out of her like water.

“La-La-La-La-La-La-La-La-La-La-La-La-La-La-La

There’s a little creepy house in a little creepy place
Little creepy town in a little creepy world
Little creepy girl with her little creepy face
Saying funny things that you have never heard

Do you know what it’s all about? (about?)
Are you brave enough to figure out? (figure out?)
Know that you could set your world on fire (on fire)
If you’re strong enough to leave your doubts (your doubts)

Feel it, breath it, believe it
And you’ll be walking on air
Go try, go fly, so high
And you’ll be walking on air

Feel this, unless you kill it
Go on, and you’re forgiven
I knew that, I could feel that
I feel like, I am walking on air”

Kuro kept her eyes closed as she sang the song, waving her hand slowly to the intro then opening her eyes as she un-hooked the mike. She grinned for a moment, walking about the stage as she slide and glided her feet. Moving to the rhythem of the song. The lights above her flashed and flickered in sync to the music as she continued.

She has a little creepy cat and a little creepy bat

Little rocking chair and an old blue hat
That little creepy girl Oh she loves to sing
She has a little gift an amazing thing

With her little funny eyes of Hazel (of hazel)
With her little funny old blue hat (blue hat)
She will go and set the world on fire (on fire)
No one ever thought she could do that (do that)

Feel it, breath it, believe it
And you’ll be walking on air
Go try, go fly, so high
And you’ll be walking on air

Feel this, unless you kill it
Go on, and you’re forgiven
I knew that, I could feel that
I feel like, I am walking on air

She took a moment to look at some faces of the audience, some vaguely familiar and others’ not so much. Kuro tilted her head at a few that were close, adding some character to the song by shrugging and waving her hands to the description in the song. Some people smiled, others chuckled, while most of them watched, their eyes glued to her. she flashed a dazzling smile as she continued.

Flitter up and

Hover down be
All around be
All around

You know that I love you go on

Feel it, breath it, believe it
And you’ll be walking on air
Go try, go fly, so high
And you’ll be walking on air

Feel this, unless you kill it
Go on, and you’re forgiven
I knew that, I could feel that
I feel like, I am walking on air

I am walking on air
Yeah
I am walking on air

She walked back to the mike’s stand, re-hooking the mike as she finished her song, softening her gaze as the music came to an end. She heard the sound of clapping, and soft murmurs, others who were closer to her congradulated her performance. Kuro smiled, murmuring a soft “thank you.” to those within hearing-range. As she walked down the steps, she felt her heart drop to the floor when she saw him leaning against the wall. His amber eyes looked almost as if they were glowing in the shadow that shaded itself over his face. He looked calm, too calm, his posture against the wall was like that of a cat, lazy but ready to strike if provoked. The man was a lethal weapon to any female around and for some reason, the thought really irked her. Kuro would have continued to make her way to the bar, but felt she couldn’t. It was already too late since he saw her and she saw him…
