“Come on, come all~~ To the performance of the a lifetime~“
Lantern’s hung between shops in a row, giving more light then the crescent moon ever could. The sounds of drum’s and music began to play about as flyer’s were tossed into the air. The picture of a crescent moon and the figure of a woman in a mask. People began to gather around, crowding the wooden stage that had been set in the plaza. Some murmured whispers about the mysterious performance, unsure if it was too be that good or not.
“Come see the dance of one night, and one night alone~“
The announcments came from a strange man with a fox-like mask covering his face with a string tied to it. He wore a festive like kimono, the sleeves rolled up to show his arms. There were several others like him roaming about, each with a different colored kimono but the same mask.
The stage had a dark red curtain, shielding the audience of the performers inside. The sounds of flutes being played filled the air suddenly as the curtains split apart to reveal several people with blank mask playing instruments from the back area of the stage. At the center of it stood a woman.
She had long hair that appeared as dark as the night itself. Her hair was tied up in a unique fashion, it almost appeared as a small bun, supported by red flowers underneath. The remaining length of her hair kept loose from beneath the flowers. The woman appeared semi-pale under the dim lantern lights. She had a loose kimono, it exposed her bare shoulders but stopped just above her cleavage. It made for a teasing reveal, but remained subtle. The kimono was dyed a pale color in contrast to the red obi sash that drew the attention. The woman had a transparent veil that shimmered over her face and shoulders delicately, making her face somewhat hidden from wandering eyes. She lifted her fan forward in a graceful manner.
As she began to dance in a slow manner, she opened her mouth to sing.
“Spring is overwhelmingly bright, yet it is a pity
I hide my determination deep in my mind, and smile“
The crowd watched in utter silence as the music changed, flutes, violins, and drums began to harmonize and sync to the woman’s dancing and singing. Flowing together in beautiful symmetry. As she dance, her leg kicked out from under the skirt of her kimono, revealing a slender leg. What really drew the attention was the ribbon strung around her ankle and bare foot. There was a bell attached to it, chiming whenever she moved around with the music.
“I can see, I can see
The shame I already know
It continues, it continues
A corridor that never endsAh, the sigh of the bird who ate the red fruit
Its mouth and its bodyBecomes stained with the color of sin
The truth is always merciless
I want to shut my ears and eyes
When someone hears my prayer, now,
Believe. Let’s make a miracle. In the dry ground”
As she continued to sing and dance, every now and again she’d wave her fan about, moving it as an extension of her arm. The veil miraculously did not fall from her movements, rather clung to her form, adding to the mystery of the dancer as it kept her face hidden. As she sang, there were few times when the veil lifted itself up a bit, showing red lips that would smile sinfully.
“Spin, and spin
The crooked wheel that creaks
Fall, and fall again
From here to where?
Ah, the cry of night when the fruit of sin ripens
Those wings, this heart
Becomes stained with the colour of disaster…
Are those peaceful days merely fantasies?
Anyone ends up bringing disaster
When I overcome the fate of death, now,
Believe. Let’s achieve that dream again tonight.
With the blood shed”
The song sounded beautiful but eerie, a strange combination from a dancer with a white kimono and a red sash. An exotic dancer singing a song of the ways of the world that made one wonder about their lives and what is expected of the future. There was an odd note of sorrow in her song, but truth as well. Almost as if the dancer knew very well what she was singing about. Truly the dance of the night.“The truth is always merciless
I want to shut my ears and eyes
When someone hears my prayer, now,
Believe. Let’s make a miracle.
In the dry ground
With the blood shed”She then turned around, waving her fan in a light manner, then moving it to the lower part of her face. The music softened, consisting mostly of flutes now as she began to sing the same way she did before in the beginning. The notes a bit more cheery then the before, light and warm.
“The spring is bright and warm, yet it is a pity
Spring passes, spring passes, and time draws closer”
She bowed her head at the end of her song, the curtains moved closer together until they sealed the audience’s view from the dancer again. Signalling everyone that the performance was over. The dance of a life-time done.
Her ears perked hearing the song. That voice. Her gaze turned away from Kazama-san who had taken her to this festival as an Apology for a member of his domain blinding her. She could see better now. Everything was vivid. The colors, her dance.
“Kuro-Chan.” A smile graced her lips.
She knew that voice, aura, and smell from anywhere. Her best friend was singing and dancing. Of crouse her aura would be so…happy and such a beautiful color. Kuro was always confident in herself. Maybe Chizuru should be to. A beautiful black Kimono warped around her body and was decorated with golden gold fish.
She gasps slightly when the dance ends. But stays at the stage for a few moments. Dazed by her dance and the cherry blossoms.
Kuro smiled at the end of the performance, it’s been a long time since she last danced. It felt nice to do it again. It made her blood sing and under the gaze of so many people her heart raced with excitement. She had spotted a friend of hers with the blonde oni. She wasn’t aware that they knew eachother, but it was a small world and even smaller town. She sent one of her attendants to fetch chizuru and company, telling them that her friends are welcomed back stage. Once the girl appeared, kuro made sure she took off her veil to reveal herself. She had donned some red gloss painting her lips along with a hue of purple over her eye, accenting her amber eyes. A light blush tainted her cheeks a bit from the make-up but she rushed over to greet the girl.
“Chizu-chan! I’m so glad you saw my performance. What did you think?”
“Kuro-chan!” She smiled and hugged her friend. “It was wonderful! I never knew you could dance like that. No wonder Sano-san has the hots for you.” She grins slightly.
“Chizuru-chan!” kuro squeaked, feeling her face redden a bit. “I don’t believe Sanosuke has even heard me sing let alone dance.”

Although a part of her had wished he’d seen it, or maybe he did but was working. She honestly couldn’t tell since he’s been real busy and they haven’t seen each other in quite some time. Pushing the thought aside, she smiled at the girl. “I’m glad you liked my performance, it’s been a long time since I’ve been on a stage. It felt great to be on it again.”
